Payment confirmation means checking that a transaction actually reached the intended destination and has the expected status.

CHECK THE OFFICIAL PAYMENT RECORD

Use the bank, wallet, merchant system or other trusted payment record rather than relying solely on a message.

MATCH THE DETAILS

Check the recipient, amount, reference and transaction status.

DISTINGUISH PENDING FROM COMPLETED

A pending transaction should not automatically be treated as successfully settled.
