First, know which Bitget Wallet you use.

Bitget Wallet supports different wallet models, including traditional seed-phrase wallets and keyless/MPC or social-login options. The recovery process is therefore not identical for every Bitget Wallet.

If you use a traditional seed-phrase wallet, your Seed Phrase is the foundation of recovery. If you use an MPC or social-login wallet, follow the recovery method provided for that specific wallet.

What should I never share?

Never share your Seed Phrase, Private Key, wallet password or sensitive recovery credentials. Bitget Wallet will not need your secret wallet credentials simply to provide ordinary support.

What if someone says my wallet needs verification?

Stop. Be suspicious of any website, message or person telling you to enter your Seed Phrase or Private Key to verify, synchronize, unlock or secure your wallet. Bitget Wallet specifically warns users about impersonation and requests for private keys, seed phrases and signing approvals.

Does changing my wallet password protect an exposed Seed Phrase?

No. If someone has your Seed Phrase or Private Key, changing the local wallet password does not remove their ability to control the wallet. Create a new wallet with new recovery credentials and move assets after carefully verifying the destination.

What is a token approval?

A token approval allows a DApp or smart contract to operate specified tokens from your wallet within the permission you grant. Review approvals regularly and revoke permissions you no longer need.

Protect your Seed Phrase or wallet recovery method
